viking norse longboat feasting table

ive always mused as to why dining room tables and chairs are not designed as one integrated unified form. They are separate entities integrated aesthetically seperate. Designed to be visually independent. This is possibly due to space or cost. Additionally  huge wild  sculptures is not always possible in today's small homes.

So endeavoring to create furniture that is both sculptural and functional has become an obsession of wildetect 3 of 3. As a designer one can only create from ones influence and from ones small life experience. So taking into consideration my Frisian roots and my absolute love affair with the African continent. A wildetect wild Norse longboat exploded off the sketch pad. The ribs are similar to the fish bone table designed before - however the viking sea horse dragon head adds another dimension. the shadow this piece casts is also interesting for me. The piece throws a distinctive scorpion shadow sculpture - this all adds  to the wildetect ideal of further sculpting with shadow. architectural shadow projection.

Busy working on a wild Namib wildetect living pod - for when i want to get away deep into the desert - this is a concept worth exploring - a wild African life inspired design.
